Climate & weather in October
October marks the end of the wet season. Humidity gradually decreases, and rainfall becomes less frequent.
Daytime temperatures are around 28–30 °C, becoming slightly cooler towards the end of the month, around 26–27 °C.
Nights are pleasant, often around 23–24 °C.
The sky is clearer and sunnier than in summer, making outdoor activities much more enjoyable.

Activities to do in October
1- Explore the historic districts: stroll through Central and Sheung Wan, with their colonial-style alleys, along the bay, and up the Mid-Levels Escalator to see the contrast between modern skyscrapers and traditional architecture.
2- Victoria Peak: take the tram up for a panoramic view of the city, especially at sunset or late afternoon when the light is soft.
3- Islands & ferry: ride the Star Ferry, visit Lantau (for example, to see the Tian Tan Buddha), and explore Tai O (a fishing village) for a more traditional touch.
4- Randonnées : les collines autour de la ville, comme Dragon’s Back ou dans les Nouveaux Territoires, profitent bien de la météo moins étouffante.
5- Gastronomy & Markets: enjoy street markets, dim sum, local snacks, and food courts in the evening when it’s cooler.
6- Cultural Events: exhibitions, indoor or outdoor concerts, seasonal festivals depending on the year (for example, wine festivals or pop-up fairs).
